Harrods

case study

Harrods is a luxury department store located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London. When we were asked to be a part of this refurbishment for such an iconic store we were very excited. With over 330 different concessions and 23 restaurants. There is something for everyone. We were commissioned to supply and apply polished plaster to a number of areas for the new Tax relief and bureau de change area. This is situated on the third floor not far from the stunning Egyptian escalators

Polished Plaster has be used as a subtle decorative finish to a number of square columns and large pod area in the centre and a stunning curved wall connected to a goal post over the bureau de change tills. We used a light coloured Marmorino polished plaster with a slight shine to give the area its final decorative touch.

We worked closely with a very organised and competent fit out team who we have work with on previous occasions . We have a good working relationship with T&B interiors and look forward to working on venetian polished plaster projects with them in the future.

This was not one of our bigger polished plaster jobs but when asked to work on such a recognisable department store we could not say no.

We were on site for 3 days to complete this polished plaster project. Like any shopfit work you undertake, you need to be highly adaptable given circumstances can change in a blink of an eye. As we are one of the last trades to be in due to the risk of damage we understand that we might have to work out of hours to help get the job completed by deadline. Partnering with T&B interiors, we successfully completed the project to the high standards we set ourselves with every project that ensures we surpass client expectations.
